Form 28 is required to obtain a Certificate of No Objection (NOC) from your vehicle`s registration authority. It must also be proven that you have no liability that could prevent you from legally selling your vehicle. Form 28, also known as Form CNP, states that any legality affecting your car has been settled, meaning there are no unpaid taxes, challans or FIR against your vehicle. You will need three copies of Form 28 if you are selling your used vehicle. This form is required to notify the RTO that your car is being sold to another party. Two copies of Form 29 are required. In this form, it is clearly stated that the owner has given all documents related to the vehicle such as RC, insurance and PUC to the new owner. This document can be downloaded here or even retrieved by the local RTO. Form 30 is a confirmation of Form 29. After informing the RTO of the sale of your vehicle, you must inform the relevant RTO that the official transfer of the owner of your vehicle must take place at the earliest.
