A consortium agreement is an agreement between two schools to recognize enrolment in each institution for financial support purposes. It allows students enrolled in more than one school in a given semester to receive the maximum amount of financial support for which they are eligible by combining enrollment in both schools. There are consortium agreements in place, so only one of the two institutions can manage Title IV and state financial assistance in accordance with federal regulations.  I will notify the Ohio University Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships and the Financial Aid Office of the host institution if I do not begin taking courses approved under this Agreement, if I complete one or all of the courses listed in the Agreement, or if I modify/add a registration that includes courses, which are not listed in the agreement.  DO NOT process state or federal grants for the duration of the consortium. If you are a recognized consortium student at LCCC, your student center`s to-do list in MyCampus will indicate the semester of your agreement and that LCCC is your host (i.e. „Fall 2020 Host Consortium Agreement“). This is added so that you know that LCCC has processed your consortium agreement and returned it to your home institution and that any LCCC employee who assists you with student-friendly services (i.e. academic advisors, bursar`s office, etc.) knows that you are not eligible for financial assistance with LCCC. If you need help purchasing books or accessories for your LCCC courses before your financial aid is paid (released) at your home institution, you can apply for an advance exemption for a bookstore. Links to schools that frequently enter into consortium agreements with LCCC are listed below. If you have any questions, please contact your home institution`s grants office.

 Process the student`s FAFSA application and, where appropriate, provide Title IV funding (if eligible) for the period of the consortium agreement based on the cost of attendance for or and the host institution. Since students visiting the LCCC do not receive financial aid at the LCCC, they are responsible for paying their tuition, fees and other registration fees at the LCCC. Whether the student pays their fees „out of pocket“ directly to LCCC or their home institution pays LCCC directly from the student`s financial support on behalf of the student depends on the home institution`s consortium agreement policy. Students who receive grants pursuing a bachelor`s degree program in collaboration with a community college partner must enter into a consortium agreement with the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships when planning a dual enrolment for the same period.  I agree to provide the Undergraduate Admissions Office (120 Chubb Hall, Athens, OH 45701) with an official transcript reflecting a full grade for the classes listed in the agreement within 14 days of the end of my semester at the end of the consortium agreement. I also understand that a HOLDback will be placed on my financial support if I do not submit the transcript by that date, which will result in a delay in the payment of my financial support for the following semester until the transcript is received and the ban is lifted. In a consortium agreement, both schools are referred to as „home institution“ and „host institution“: Most union agreements processed by LCCC Financial Services stipulate that LCCC is the host institution, which means that the student does not receive their LCCC degree. The student`s home institution processes the student`s financial support. Figures for the cost of attendance at Ohio University for the duration under this Agreement are presented below. The COA includes tuition and fees, textbooks, accommodation and meals, transportation, technology and personal expenses. Students who wish to take courses at the LCCC to transfer to their home institution must begin this process by contacting their home institution`s grants office to obtain a consortium agreement (may also be referred to as an „ad hoc consortium agreement“ in some schools). Then, students complete their part of the consortium agreement and submit it to LCCC`s Financial Services Department for processing and submission to the home institution.

Under this agreement, the home institution accepts credits earned at the LCCC, while the LCCC acknowledges that no financial support will be provided to the student by its institution. 1.
